Ninnu Kalisaka – Movie Review

Starring: Santosh, Chaitanya, Jagapathi Babu, Pi11vmwpy copya, Deepa, Krishnudu and others

Director: Sivanageswara Rao

Music: Sunil Kashyap

Release date: 02 October 2, 2009

Another flick from Usha kiron movies which has introduced 4 new budding actors to Tollywood. Ninnu Kalisaka shows the difference between love and friendship between and concludes saying “First Love is the Best Love”.

Coming to the story the movie portrays the fickle mindedness of two couples who are not matured to take a decision. Abhiram (Santosh) and Deepthi (Deepa) is a couple and Chandu (Chaitanya Krsihna) and Pia (Bindu) is another couple. Abhiram and Bindu go abroad on a professional trip to handle project. They become good friends and their friendship slowly develops into more and not sure if are they really in love and by the time the project is over, they feel that they are in love. And at home Deepthi and Chandu become good friends and just friends. They are clear about their relationship. Now the rest go watch on screen how are they are going to conclude their perceptions about each other.

The performance of all the new actors was good and they have really good future and should definetly concentrate on their minus points. Santosh and Pia have some scintillating chemistry scenes which are shot in Malaysia and Singapore. Santosh has shown confidence and has good potential to perform to his best. He was good at dances and a little bit of home work on expressions will take him to greater heights. The rendition work involving Chaitanya and Deepa were good and they have done good job. Chaitanya was also good at dancing and got the opportunity in two songs (he played) to project his talent and should work on the dialogue delivery. Deepa was looking like a cute beautiful girl. Pia was good at every point.

Coming to the technical department, first thing to be mentioned here is the music for this movie. It was really awesome especially two songs “Dil Se…” and “Mounam Manasulona…” Two songs were foot tapping. And background score was a good job. The photography was good and dialogues were adept.

Besides all of this somewhere the salt in the dish was little less. Some scenes in the movie looked erratic and this may fetch the movie less ratings. The direction department should have taken more care with screenplay and other scenes especially when dealing with a new bunch of artists. The concept was good and should have been projected very well in some parts like narration and screenplay. The comedy has gone haywire. Not sure how a director like Sivanageswara Rao who made good comedy movies like ‘Money’, ‘Pattukondi Chooddam’ ‘Mr. and Mrs. Shilaja Krishnamurthy’ can go baseless on comedy tracks.

The movie ends with a message for this current generation and the way the message conveyed to them through Jagapathi Babu was a different kind of ending. The few scenes of Santosh with Jagapathi Babu were not looking like conversation between them rather it was he(Jagapathi) was conveying a message to the audience and  The director himself played the role of Baba (Love Guru)who calculates the steps followed by lovers. He was made up to look like Amitabh Bachhan. (Heard in an interview from the director that they were planning to pitch in the Big B himself for the character but the budget didn’t allow the big task). But is there really an oppurtunity for Big B to accept this role?????? Definetly no.

Bottom Line:- It’s a flick in which the new budding talented actors have shown their potential and are in renown spots and can say as an epitome that not all the movies will be unerring.

Today was the day

13Today was the day in INDIA, when Indians were watching Pakistan Vs Australia rather than watching a match in which INDIA was playing.

Today was the day when all Indian cricket fans were supporting Pakistan.

Today was the in day INDIA, may be many were praying that Pakistan must and should win over Australia.

Today was the day where majority in INDIA were on Pakistan side. Do you think that this may happen? Or did you anytime expect that this situation will occur? I did not.

Yes its true, this day may or may not come in future again and no rules saying that this occurs every damn number of years. Yes today 30/09/2009 – Wednesday was a day when Pakistan cricket team has got Indian supporters for their match against Ausies.

This dependency had happened many times for INDIA but never with Pakistan.

When Rana was bowling block holes and Yorkers in the last overs of the match everybody were cheering. When Misbah saved a boundary saving three runs ,today he looked like a hero , Younis khan has got full support not only from supporters from India and Pakistan but also , may be a huge support from BCCI as an INDIAN captain gets.

As mentioned by the commentator for this match Pak (vs.) Aus (don’t know who he was) but said the right thing that “Every Television in India is on and they are watching this match and not the match which INDIA was playing against West Indies”. All media channels were portraying the same point and even the Aakashavani was no exception.

And guyz this is cricket and the champion can be only one and they are worth it to be called so. And winner can also be only one in any game and this time in cricket it was Australia (who left behind INDIA and rushed into semis). And next it may be INDIA. And I hope that Indian team will endure this situation.

This situation has been faced by many teams previously (by WI, SL etc) and now even the 3 time world champion’s’ ordinance has been weakened. Many present Indian cricketers are now being renowned and may be everybody expects them to surge more in the game rather than issues which may create detrimental problems. And media has also a major role here, where I see mostly media exaggerates things which should not be given importance at all. (The Viru and Dhoni Issue). A Hindi news channel was very much interested in this issue and they were showing this issue with overwhelming joy. Is it really necessary?

These are some of the reasons for failure or polemical situations Well, anyhow my topic was not regarding this but one fine day I may come up with a good post on this but this was the day which put me into reprehensible situation which I never thought it would happen.

P.S:- Is anything wrong in the above post? Want suggestions.(expect grammar corrections as it is more complicated than anything for me)

Eenadu – Review

First of all I want to say,

Eenadu postersEven when I know that I am seeing a re-make of a stunning Bollywood movie, I was never comparing this movie with that movie, because I was totally seeing a Telugumovie with telugu dialogues and was pretty much interested to see how the telugu version is going to be. As I expected, the movie looked like a fresh jelly removed from frost with just a color change to the previous one. Eenadu has succeeded in making audience clap for some of the dialogues and in keeping audience stick to their seats (even the audience who has seen “A Wednesday”). So by this we can say that Eenadu is success in whatever category it wanted to be. Basically its very hard to judge a movie which is remade and remade in exactly same way but in my opinion Eenadu has made its way to a success.

Plot – Need not be mentioned and cast no doubt revolves around two good actors. Well the only difference in the movie compared to a Wednesday is the technical stuff. Came to know from my friend that the movie was filmed using a red camera (some what digitized picture which does not involve reel). It is not noticeable but when you see it carefully I think you may see the difference. The photography was excellent and the director Chakri Toleti has used his camera man to a perfect level.

The music was brilliant; If Shruthi Haasan herself composed the music bits then she is really talented. The mixing was too good and added salt to the movie. Coming to the performances Venkatesh was just himself with a matured character, but definetly not a character which Venkatesh must have done, Prakash Raj or some else would have would have done that character and in my opinion if the character was given to Prakash Raj he could have done with élan. But I really didn’t understand why Venkatesh has really accepted a character like this. Multi starrer is a good change that should surely cometo Tollywood but well personified actor like Venkatesh should look for other roles in Multi Starrer movies.

And coming Padmashree Kamal Haasan as an imposter of a terrorist, himself in the character played naturally and but for me Naseeruddin Shah was better looking a common Man than Mr.Kamal Haasan. Yes I mean it. It doesn’t mean that kamal has not done well!! And I don’t have any damn reason to say that he was not good at it as he has proved it previously and nothing more I can say. He was superb for the role, but Naseeruddin shah was in a better position and added more conviction to the character “The Common Man”.

And the movie has also not changed its basics from Wednesday, it went along the same storyline and it is the same as expected. But the taking was totally different in Eenadu. And some of the dialogues which are added have kept people thinking what was the situation about, was it positive or was it negative. And Mr.Haasan telling about a pregnant on the road was bull shit and why the hell is that needed?

And a dialogue “When Terrorism is instant why can’t Justice be?” Can this happen in this country? And some dialogues were making people laugh, dialogues such as when the reporter refuses to go to the Airport Kamal says” When India lost to Pakistan in Cricket, its not the responsibility of the TV channel which relays a live show”. And some dialogues are out of box as bringing in Gujarat in the conversation between a terrorist and a police officer.

After all  I can say that in the cinema I have seen people who have not seen A Wednesday were enjoying the movie and were really stunned when knowing that Kamal is not a terrorist but just a Common Man.

Bottom Line: – Not a bad Movie, see it as Tollywood Movie not a remake you will just stick to your seats, A Honest film.

Why Jagan will be the next CM of AP!!!

question-mark-marco-belucciWhos next?? A million dollar question and some say that the answer is obvious that it will be Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy. (S/O of Late.Y.S.RajaShekar Reddy). And no explanations needed for this thing to happen. There are several reasons why Jagan will be the next CM.

  1. YSR family has the largest group in the state and that many followers who will definetly are behind everything that happens in the state.
  2. The present cabinet has the people of YSR, which we can say that his people and definetly the cabinet will support him (as we are seeing that now).
  3. If Jagan is not given will that position the High command is pretty intelligent and they know what will be the consequences if another name is taken into consideration.
  4. The party may split again into groups and the grip that YSR had on the state will be lost if another candidate is named other than Jagan.
  5. Nevertheless the charisma that YSR holds is same or a little bit more than what his son holds.
  6. The support of the big shots will always be with YSJ.
  7. At this situation the Congress High command will not take any risks by bringing up another name onto the screen.
  8. YSR in his 5.5 yrs rule gained control on all the major business sectors and industrialized areas in major part of the state.
  9. The “Aam Aadmi “has been the main agenda of YSR and the Centre too, so now YSJ in his father’s footsteps should follow the same.
  10. The party cannot risk the resignations of many Ministers and MLAs if Jagan is not made as CM.
  11. The former CM’s aide and best friend KVP tactics are one of the reasons for congress victory both the times ( the famous Pada Yatra was designed by him). And the second time victory has something to do with his political experience. So this brain will work only for one person and that is … (everyone understands who is this). And even the centre cannot afford to lose him and his experience.
  12. The state is not ready for another political turmoil and the dramatic developments.
  13. He owns a news paper and 24 hrs News channel.
  14. Last but not the least, Jagan will be the only person who can fit in the fathers shoes in many ways and the only person by whom his father’s policies and projects will be taken further.

The above points need no explanations, they are what they are and if anyone asks why is it so? The answer is “That’s It”… No more discussions.
